This is the biggest sign of progress: when someone finally realizes that it could be true and you're unsure of your sexuality, but you have the power to say that it's okay. It doesn't bring you as much anxiety and that in turn might make you anxious. But keep going and you'll see it all with much more clarity. Great job :)

yeah I've written what my thoughts are down and I do get anxiety about if they're true but not that much it's more a feeling of discomfort

@Bryan How can I help?

@Bryan Well, Bryan, let's look at it this way: You acted on your thoughts. You aren't alone in this. Many of us have done it before, so you can at least find peace in numbers. Another interesting part of your response is that you are very aware of what your OCD is telling you. That's a great sign. Do you meditate often? When was the last ERP that you completed?

@Bryan What exactly are your fears? Let's put them on the table right now and let's customize your ERP to help you. I'm sure others will be willing to come up with ERP scenarios for you as well, so we can make this a group effort. :)

@Bryan This is very common with HOCD. The fear isn't usually because you might be gay, the fear is that someone you love or a relationship you're in will end because you're gay. That's the difference. Do you talk to your wife about your OCD symptoms?

yes, it's pretty ironic. what's even more ironic is that you'd have to do that no matter what theme you're struggling with. accepting this uncertainty when dealing with strongly taboo theme is scary.

Very true! In fact, a lot of the time, the reason we have such a strong and fearful connection is because of the repercussions that would transpire if they were true. I'm glad that you're working on breaking this connection. It takes a lot of patience and time. :)
