No. It’s any intrusive thought that comes into my head about a kid I used to hate these thoughts. Then I tried to just relax. My anxiety is gone for the most part in Relation to the thought itself. I KNOW I don’t feel arousal at all or attraction. But then I feel a kinda of “wait....do I feel attraction”. Then I get a feeling.... not a feeling of attraction or arousal...but a kind of unnamed feeling....it’s kinda like my ocd is throwing a scenario at me after a thought to try and get me to like it. I know I don’t like it otherwise I wouldn’t be here right now but it feels in my head like I do

ahh yeah the arousal checks shit :/ well maybe try distract yourself. watch funny youtube videos, chat with friends. just because your body is reacting, it doesn’t mean you like it

@e It’s not even arousal checking.....ok so intrusive thought comes in with no anxiety most of the time.....I clear it from my head....then groinal response (if any at all).....then my head throws another at me to get me to like it???.......nah I don’t like it....wait...do I like it.....nahhh....yeah...no I don’t....yes ....no

@Ocdfear03 i understand. you need to train yourself to sit with the discomfort and ignore it. can i ask what the theme is ?

I google. I look at a picture with I kid in it to see if I feel attraction or arousal or not (even Typing that I feel horrible) I purposely imagine thoughts to see if I feel anything. I obsess over most thoughts. And I ask people if they have experienced this feeling or this symptom or this thought. Are all these compulsions ?

yes those are all compulsions. the obsessing over thoughts is rumination. it’s very difficult to stop mental compulsions but you’ve got to try your best. the thoughts will go away if you do not do your compulsions.

in winter, it’s cold and dark most of the time which is like episodes of mental health. the spring is bright, full of blossoming and a new beginning. it’s to show that the winter (depression) will end, and eventually spring (happiness) will come

@Ocdfear03 you’re neurodivergent. your brain is wired completely different to someone who is neurotypical or neuroatypical. if you give in to intrusive thoughts that’s when it becomes a serious issue

@e So I think I’ve realised WHY I’m feeling like this. I’ve had this worry ever since the anxiety toward my thoughts reduced along with the distress. So that’s explain why I’m feeling like I am because I’m not experiencing the same anxiety toward the thoughts
