I took lexapro which did nothing for me, then I took zoloft which made me wanna kill my self, cymbalta felt the same way. Started Prozac almost 3 weeks ago and it’s helping considerably. My OCD thoughts are still here but I’m much more relaxed and my mood has improved. And it’s still pretty early and at the smallest dose so it’s a good sign. Sadly it’s a lot of trial and error , I hope you find something the helps you soon. If you try Prozac and it doesn’t work don’t get discouraged, even meds in the same class won’t have the same effect on you.

I’ve been on it since May of last year or so at 30 mg. I tried 50 and that caused pain, so just down to 30 and have been at that pretty much

That’s awesome that’s it’s working for you tho! Yeah I have a little list of different once’s and Prozac may be on it. I will have to start trying something new! The vyvanse works fairly well when it kicks in, but as soon as it’s like outta my system (which I can pretty much tell almost exactly when it is) a few hours later it’s just back to the normal ocd thoughts and stuff. So thank you again :)

I just got diagnosed with ocd and she suggested I think about taking lexapro for it. Has anybody tried that and does it help at all?

Can people please share their experiences on very low dose medications for their OCD? Maybe ones that have worked well with little side effects? Anything is helpful & thank you
