No problem! I hope you can get control over your OCD and not be as afraid of people. As you've said yourself, there are good people out there. :) The post about Discord was just yesterday, but the post about Instagram was 7 days ago, so you'd have to do some scrolling for that one... The person who posted about the Instagram group was Peanut.pie, so you could just find one of their posts and ask them to add you to the group.

I don't have the fear of a lawsuit being filed against me, but that would be really scary! Have you been doing ERP for this?

I’ve been trying yes, but it’s mostly just using social media comfortably and without fear/worries. And avoiding compulsions like looking up how to defend myself legally, file charges against someone for psychological distress they caused me, things that feed my fears.

I'm curious, what would you rate the fear of going on social media out of 10? If it's really low, can you try to do a higher ERP? And if so, do you have any exposures in mind?

Depends which social media. I shut down most of my accounts, but I still use IG which hasn’t been too bad, maybe a 3 or 4. Something like FB which id need to make again would be like 7 or 8, but it would probably have me going on a spree blocking a certain person/people and getting more scared bc of the bad memories. I want to use everything not bc I care too much, but I want this fear gone. I had a really bad experience like over 1.5 yrs ago, but legally I won everything, I’m as clean as can be. But I got threatened they’d seek revenge if anything happened, and I always get scared. I just want to feel free bc this shit hurts so much all the time.

Yeah, save the higher rated exposures for later. Keep using IG. Do you think that is getting too easy, though? Or would you also like to try something else along with IG? Plus, do you think maybe a support group on IG would help? I saw some previously mentioned on this app.

Just perusing it is pretty easy. I don’t really follow people/post much or do anything bc I’m kind of scared. Definitely trying to get on all things purely bc I’m trying to inundate myself and not be scared of this stuff at all. Whether that be Ig, Facebook, Twitter, a personal blog, etc. I haven’t heard of a support group on IG, is that a thing? I’ve seen some mental health/trauma pages on there but nothing else.

Yeah, I saw some posts on this app about support groups on Instagram and Discord. The post I saw about the Instagram group said the preferred age of people on the group is 15-19, while the one I saw about Discord didn't say anything about preferred ages. Maybe it would help to be in a support group -- that could be ERP too, maybe. But anyway, you should continue doing ERP; maybe eventually post a few things, follow people, etc.

That’s not too far off, I’m in my lower 20s so I’m sure there’s something there. Yea I mean definitely I think inundating myself is extremely important with both ERPs and just connecting myself socially... part of it is just I lost faith in people and thought everyone was against me, but realizing there are really good people out there is key. Thanks for the tips and encouragement, I appreciate it!
