Hey man, listen. It's NEVER too late to quit porn. You can start right now. I started at the beginning of this week to be free from masturbating and porn and I have felt much better than I did during my addiction. This is who I wish I could've been when I was ruminating all day. This is the feelings I've wanted every time I talked about how I'm not as happy as I used to be. I feel like I'm getting that back. Pretty much all of my OCD latches onto sexual content, and it focuses on all of the porn I've watched, searched for, and got exposed to in the past. No longer will I watch that stuff. No longer will I masturbate to it. No longer will I drown myself in the filth that those sites can be. What you need is a break. It's going to be very difficult at first, but once you beat that beginning part, IT GETS BETTER. It's never too late to want to quit this entirely. Install blockers. Install journaling apps. I recommend Brainbuddy and it's been helping me so so much. Tell yourself that you can change this. You can get better. You can be free from this. I'm so close to being a week free from any kind of sexual material and activities and I feel like myself again. I feel my intrusive thoughts reducing in power. I feel myself getting back to the normal I've wanted for months. You can too. Also is social media is adding a negative effect on this, you can reduce that as well. That's something I've also been doing. You can do this!

I quit but it I eventually get pulled back in while I'm depressed or anxiety ridden. Funny enough, my OCD will focus on porn and sexual content until I discontinue then it focuses on anything else. I cant win either way. Good on you though bro.

@Jbm421 My OCD is exactly the same. It focuses on porn and sexual content. But the more I pulled away from it, the less power the intrusive thoughts had. Please don't lose hope man. This is something you can get away from. It doesn't have to be this way if you don't want it to be. It's a coping mechanism for your depression and/or anxiety. It's like that for a loooot of other people, including myself. I even saw my anxiety reduce a considerable amount.

@BigGip09 I gotta stay off Instagram. That's the shit that leads me to porn very often.

@Jbm421 100% same here. After unfollowing all of the female models I had in my feed, I realized how boring and stale instagram got for me. I was in your shoes. I literally sat there trying my hardest to keep them following and in my saved circles, but I put my foot down and said "No, I don't want this anymore, I just want to be happy. These feelings can come into play when I get a partner in the future" and then I just got better overtime. Like I said, fighting the urges at the start is NOOOT easy, but getting over them makes the journey ahead easier.

@BigGip09 Dude, my shit fucked because i went back to porn but I had stopped for a little while to get away from the intrusive thoughts, anxiety and crotch shots. But this is HOCD so it fixates other bullshit and triggers me with other nonsense. Hell dude, I've been getting triggered by a fat dude lately. I've got too much time to think on my hands. I hate how fucked my mind has gotten.

@Jbm421 I'll hope you'll be able to give it up sooner, man. Fighting all those urges and not giving into the compulsions will help you. I wish you the best man

Hey man you can quit right now. Every single day is an opportunity to become a better version of yourself. I also felt horrible about the same thing. I was a porn addict from age 14-26 and on March 5th I’ll make 6 months porn free. You can do this.

How is that working out for you?

@Jbm421 Extremely well. It was hard at first. I feel like a better person, a better partner, more energy and happier. I had tried to quit multiple times before and didn’t even make it past a couple of days. So I’m proud of myself and every day I tell myself how proud I am.

@Keep Going Funny enough, I been staying away from porn a lot lately for those reasons but also I don't want intrusive thoughts and I damn sure dont want to see another freaking penis. But Instagram girls lured me back in.

@Jbm421 Thanks man! And if you really wanna quit just delete all social media for a month. Give your brain time to rewire and then you can get back to being on social media. It’s worth it

The great thing about the present is that every moment is a brand new beginning. No reason you can’t begin again.

I hear you. Very often I take any trigger (especially if it's a porn trigger) as if it's the end of the world.
