I think you should restart therapy! And this time, come up with a solid maintenance plan that you stick to after your sessions are up. You could also get back into therapy with a workbook, like the mindfulness workbook for ocd. Meds can help dampen the anxiety a bit, but without erp, and if you continue to do mental compulsions, the ocd will likely still worsen. Keep doing the work! I know itโs hard to jump back in. Also: going straight to a 9 when youโve been out of practice may just be too much too fast. Go back and do some 7s and 8s. And remember to be patient with yourself. Create a schedule, stick to it as if you had a therapist to report to, and track your progress.
