I have written poetry about my OCD too. It is so helpful.

It is! Putting it into poetry puts your feelings into words. It's very therapeutic

It always strikes when you’re most tired doesn’t it? I had an episode that kept me up and stopped me from eating for weeks. Finally in therapy now though and doing much better

Right? I was super tired because I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and for the rest of the day I was in the worst condition. That's also why I want to spread awareness that therapy should be in use before you hit that really bad point you know?

@hvtwirler28 Definitely. For me it was 4:30 a.m. and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Didn’t think it could get that bad. But I think some people have to reach that point before they start to take it seriously. But hopefully not

@Anonymous Right? I didn't really need therapy before it started getting really bad. But I guess when you wait like that you hit a point where it gets really bad. But it's also really hard to tell that that may happen. And it hit me like a ton of bricks too. I just remember feeling overcome with the worst amount of fear.

@hvtwirler28 I had several panic attacks it was terrible. And yeah I knew I had OCD but I never ever thought it could do that. But I guess years of giving into compulsions for little obsessions led to the big ones?

@Anonymous Yes I agree! I didn't realize that if I stop the little obsessions early on then it won't get as bad later.
