You can do it!! OCD is lying to you about who you are. You’re a person trying your best just like everyone else. The people in your life love you. You deserve good things and a happy life. Good luck on your interview, you’ve got this!!!

Maybe my interview is with a dude so idk. Having soocd makes it hard for those interviews. Even for a chick those interviews are hard to cuz it goes to an animal or a scary looking dog smfh so I can’t win either way😞

@Issac11 Ugh I’m so sorry. It sounds like your OCD is really intrusive no matter what you’re trying to do! Try to remember, you’re allowed to think about whatever you want. You can picture spiders crawling on the interviewer if you want to lol. You’re allowed to have your own private thoughts and they don’t have to mean anything. Try to focus on what you CAN do in your interview. You can’t control intrusive thoughts, no matter how much you may want to. Try to focus on how you would like to behave. I have horrible social anxiety, so I always go into stressful situations planning on being as nice and polite as I possibly can. I was really nervous to go to the dentist, for example, so I decided I would make a joke about my nervousness to let the hygienist know I was anxious, and also to ease a little tension. Just focus on what you’d say to a new person you haven’t met before. “Hey, I’m issac11! It’s so nice to meet you, how are you doing today?” I absolutely hate small talk, so I always plan it ahead. “I like how the offices are set up here. Pretty cozy. I was so excited to hear I got this interview, I really like how this company ...etc etc. I’m a really hard worker I’m not great at talking one on one, but I’m great at working with others” you’re just talking about a job! Just focus on interview stuff, focus on smiling and being a nice person. You can do this!!!

@booba Thanks. I’m hoping it goes well so I can stay busy while making some money and working on my ocd.

Are you seeing a therapist? You’ve been posting a ton the last week or so, seems like this is becoming a complusion and seeking reassurance

Also I was going to delete the app cuz I do think it has become a compulsion for me but my therapist is from this app so I’m stuck compulsing a bit every time I see the app on my phone🤦🏻♂️I’m not doing so well with compulsions lately and it could be from all the caffeine I’m intaking now.

@Issac11 Yeah I have the app for the therapist but you can try super hard not to go on the feed to post and comment on people’s posts because it seems like it’s making you worse from an outsiders perspective

@Justmesadly To be honest last time I did get on a persons post was when I was tipsy from the alcohol I consumed and it made me get pissed from what they were saying or I would’ve just block the user and not say anything. Now if I see something I don’t like I’ll block it from my feed.

@Issac11 Good because you were very angry and not nice on that post. But being on in general is a compulsion

@Justmesadly I normally would help someone if I see the post as a call for help or leave it alone and let that person sit with the feelings. I usually only write post for a pick me up from a user and not so much from another user to tell me they’re going through the same ocd theme as mine per say. They probably are going through a similar theme just not the same thoughts or visuals as I’m going through with the same theme and that’s where I get mad when someone saids it’s the exact same thing when it’s not. Just a pick me from feeling down is kind of what I look for if I’m not posting after taking in a pre workout or from going out and drinking that’s when I start to be more irritable.
