Hey, friend. We can always talk about this, you know. You're never alone. The fact that you worry about this shows you don't want to be one. Sorry that I gave you reasurrance, but I just hate seeing people suffer from the more difficult and more painful themes. I undergo real event and POCD. It really really sucks having those combine. :(

Just knowing I’m not alone is helpful. I hate going through this and for anyone else to go through this too. It sucks so much. Don’t be sorry you have always been so nice to me and I appreciate that

@Staystrong❤ It's the least I could do for someone that deserves the help they seek. You aren't your thoughts and you don't deserve to beat yourself up over these thoughts. You'll get through this sooner. It won't last forever.

Yes I would def start meds before erp and maybe even get leveled out on the meds before trying. I would suggest you at least get somewhat leveled out. If you get fully leveled out ERP may seem like something you don’t even need, but I would still face the fears so that if they do come up on future which I’m sure one of them will pop up, you will be equipped to handle it.

I have tried to get through this but I have to have meds to cope. Are you on any medication? Also it sucks bc the meds take a while to kick in.

@Disneyfanatic I was on lexapro and Wellbutrin before I got pregnant. Now I’m trying Zoloft and trazadone with clonazepam to get me through until my Zoloft kicks in. Getting on the right meds isn’t always easy but very beneficial. It can take away a lot of the anxiety that keeps you feeding the OCD.

@#happiness Also I tried ERP but a lot of my issues revolve around religion so I’m trying a more holistic approach to that part of my OCD w a mix of secular ERP. It really is a process to find out what works for you. But I was to a point that I couldn’t cope without meds. Was having meltdowns off and on all day and never felt normal.
