I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm not a doctor so this is just stuff I might do for myself and you have to Ultimately decide what feels good for you. 1. Have compassion for what you went through and felt. 2. Recognize that you lived through it and all of the anxiety you've had before and while it is uncomfortable you will live through any anxiety you have in the future. 3. Acknowledge the thoughts you are having but don't attach meaning or feeling to it. Don't try to figure them out. Just let the come and go. 4. When you have a thought to check your body like look at an area or reassure yourself, Acknowledge the thought but don't look at the body part and don't reassure or get tangled in the thought. Sit with the anxiety. It will go up, it will come back down. It always does. 5. Get out of your head and into your body... meaning do something...watch TV, play a game, talk to someone, do a craft. 6. Lean into the fear and I promise it will take its power away. 7. Do an erp script. Like I may or may not feel sensations on my body or thoughts that I am anxious or will have another panic attack. I accept the uncertainty of the thoughts and I will allow them to be here as I continue on with my day.

What do I do when I can’t even watch tv for 30 seconds without the thoughts popping up. I’m starting to avoid tv

@devanmharris You watch TV and you let the thoughts be there. Don't interact with them. Let the anxiety go up and come back down cause it will and then you'll get some freedom. Like I hear you thoughts. I'm gonna let you be here and I'm gonna watch TV.

Yes, yes it can. Not to trigger anyone but I had a massive anxiety attack on zoloft that left me with ptsd... but I also was denied medical treatment for several hours so that aided to the ptsd

@devanmharris Don't be nervous over my experience. I had taken it 2 times before and never had an issue. Everyone is different and we have to trust our bodies.

@Kls2121 It's been a hard year because of course my OCD latched onto it. I've done a lot of work to fight through everyday. Making progress!

@Kls2121 The anxiety got worse on it. I have taken no meds since then except 2 ativan at 2 different hospital visits for panic attack. All other anxiety moments I've lived through and faced on my own. The ocd has only improved since doing ERP and the ptsd has improved since improving my ocd so that I actually wasn't scared to do the trauma work I needed to do for the ptsd. I tell ya it's exhausting for all of us. Now in the past when on zoloft the 2 other times I did not have OCD thoughts.

@Jess You should really be proud of yourself. You really came along way. I know its hard. Its exhausting for all of us. I am soooo scared to start meds. But I think I need to try. Having kids makes this so much harder for me.

@Kls2121 Just get the information ahead of time and make the best informed decision for yourself. Believe me I wish I could take medicine to make it go away or help but that is not the best decision for me. And yes.. . The kids... I get it. Thank you for your support and good luck with your decision.
