@NOCD Advocate - Cesar O. How am I supposed to live my life with the things I did in the past that I feel I've committed crimes with?

@BigGip09 Do you feel like you did or you're sure you did? Either way it's in the past nothing you can do about it, forgive yourself and move on learn from your mistakes

@NOCD Advocate - Cesar O. I'll never know for sure. I don't know how bad teen sexting really is and I don't know how bad the porn videos I watched is. And it forever bothers me

@NOCD Advocate - Cesar O. It's easier said than done when you have OCD. If I didn't, I would've moved on no matter what but it just won't go away

@BigGip09 It's not easy I understand, but it's possible and what you need to do in order to move forward, are you religious?

@BigGip09 Don't define yourself by your past mistakes, learn from them apologize when you can to who you can and move on

@NOCD Advocate - Cesar O. It feels impossible not to move on from the mistakes I've made. I feel it really messed things up and I just can't get over the hurdle. I feel like it'll never end. How do I just put this behind me? What do I do, what do I say?

@NOCD Advocate - Cesar O. I know I've learned from these mistakes and I don't do them anymore. I don't watch porn and I don't sext I don't do anything like that anymore I've been a month free. I should be happy right? I still feel like shit

@BigGip09 God offers forgiveness, if God can forgive you for all your sins, why can't you forgive yourself? Don't let the past mistakes trap you, if you truly did make mistakes then accept them, repent and talk to God, He loves you just as you are right now not for who you think you should be. You can't undo the past but you can build the future in a better way by letting go of the past.

@NOCD Advocate - Cesar O. That's a really good question. I guess I can't forgive myself because of OCD existing and I feel like a criminal or that I deserve punishment. That may not even be the right thing to do in this case but that's what it tells me. Other than that, I don't know any other way to move on because... I guess it makes me feel like I got away with something horrible and I shouldn't? I guess that's why I beat myself up over this for so long. For so much. I don't know how bad these things are depending on how much I worry about them and I guess that's why I along with others seek reassurance. I just don't want to feel like I got away with causing pain within myself or someone else. I don't know. I just don't know for sure. :(

@BigGip09 I hear you and I feel for you, don't let ocd manipulate you and tell you how you should feel or what you are like, stand up for yourself, stand up to ocd, what advice would you give to someone you love that comes up to you with your problem? Would your advice be loving and caring for that person? Then talk to yourself in that way. If you are catholic I suggest you go to confession and confess your sins, there's nothing more liberating than to hear the priest say your sins are forgiven, and then you walk away without sin, free from everything that weight you down, by God's mercy and grace you will find a way to move from the past and forgive yourself. You're not a monster that deserves punishment, you're tormented by ocd and God wants you to be happy, give yourself a chance to live and start by forgiving yourself.
