@bellag You're totally not the only one! There are so many people who go through this, and having rocd makes it 1000% harder. Just know that your relationship and feelings must be incredibly strong to withstand rocd AND judgemental family members!

@bellag no no it's fine it's my fault. this name isn't used because it only refers to straight people being scared of being gay. so-ocd is the correct one, i just use it to avoid confusion about what my sexual orientation is (or my desired one at least)

With ocd can the thoughts themselves feel entirely true???? Or is it just the narrative around the thought that feels true/real?

Hi! I have been struggling with ocd for many years of my life, however, I have recently been struggling with religious ocd. Currently my ocd has been putting thought into my mind like, “you shouldn’t go to that party, because “God” doesn’t what you to” or “don’t do this or else it’s going to make “God” mad.” These thoughts have been overall causing me so much anxiety, and truly I don’t know what to do. I’ve been struggling to identify it’s actually Gods voice or not. Also, my ocd has been also making my prayer a very stressful part of my day, which is not how it should feel at all. Now finding peace in prayer feels more like a chore, than a conversation. Does anybody else have ocd like this? If so, any tips?

Do you think OCD could be one big lie and deception of Satan? It would make the most sense from a spiritual perspective. And motivated by fear - and God does not give us fear.
