Does anyone know what SSRI’s are specifically helpful for OCD thoughts? I’ve been on Zoloft forever and it used to work but the intrusive thoughts have been so rampant I think I need something new

i actually have the same tags as you (pure and relationship OCD) and i’m taking the same medicine. i’m still having intrusive thoughts but my anxiety has gone way down

SSRIs don’t take away the intrusive thoughts no matter what you take or how much

It does help them I’ve experienced this in the past. ERP is key as well but the support of medicine is crucial for many people with mental illness.

@BeatOCDAnonymous It doesn’t… I’ve taken them as well. The point is just to limit the anxiety. The intrusive thoughts are always going to be there. Yes I have ocd, panic , gad and depression I am very aware some people need medicat
