Does it feel like your mind is at the forefront of your conciousness?

I'm not sure what you mean.

It's very hard to explain, but I feel like I'm living in my head. Something has to be going on in my head at all times. Though I'm in reality, I feel disconnected from the physical environment around me. Sorryđ this was the best way I could explain it.

@MsMerryMack That sounds like derealization, I could be wrong, but that's what it sounds like. Which I think is a common thing for those of us with OCD. I personally don't currently feel that way, but for me currently I'm just stuck in a thought and stuck in mental review which sucks. For your situation, maybe you could try the 5-4-3-2-1 exercise to bring you back to your present surroundings, from your head into your body.

Two things are happening: I get thoughts that just keep looping. They almost feel like song stuck in my head. Also, Iâll imagine something and I feel my stomach drop. Then as the seconds go by I keep getting fragments of the this thought but with different details. For example, itâs kinda like how a âvisionâ is portrayed. Iâll get a glimpse of the thought and then itâll rapidly expand into something worse every few seconds. I donât know if Iâm causing this or if itâs just an automatic thing like any other intrusive thought. It feels unavoidable, idk if this is a compulsion or if itâs just another manifestation of an intrusive thought. Apart from that remembering an intrusive thought triggers the full thought again and then it just keeps looping or expanding. I donât know how to stop any of this. Help?

When you get a stuck thought in your mind, as stupid or untrue as it may be, how do any of you block them out, or try to at least? Itâs like my mind has another voice telling me making up the stupidest things?

I donât know how to deal with the thoughts that come and barely gone. Usually, the brain often remembers and forgets things. People with OCD however struggle with trying to forget the intrusive thoughts because of the imbalance trying to convey what is real and if the thoughts in your head will come true. Just for the past few days, I was having fun and suddenly hit with a wave of obsessive thoughts and making me stuck with nowhere to go.
