Thank you for responding, I honestly think my bf would break up with me if I told him because he doesn’t believe I deal with false memories and stuff, that makes me think I should tell him even more :/

ugh :((( my boyfriend is understanding because we have been dating for 2 years and he is used to it lol. I haven’t told him anything in a while so i feel good about that! i know how hard it is, if you need to talk im here!

I believe that telling your partner is a compulsion. As much as you want to tell your boyfriend, don’t. It will give you a second of relief but not worth it. I have definitely “confessed” to my partner which ends up in him reassuring me, and we should avoid that with ocd. I’m not a professional whatsoever and I’m hardly good at dealing with this myself, but I hope this helps. Remember that OCD attacks the things you really care about.
