You just make the choice not to do the compulsion. Its hard and your anxiety will go crazy, but it can be done.

You right, sometimes i choose but ive been reacting the same way for so long. I respond with comoulsions out of habit.

I’ve noticed that I’m somewhat happier also ignoring my thoughts than I am instead of doing compulsions (I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired atp) but I’ve heard you’re technically supposed to do erp rather than pushing under the rug. But idk if I have a thought I just refuse to think about it again and im fine even if I want to do compulsions

So maybe the title wasn't the best to to put it but when you guys start having obsessive thoughts how do you stop them before it turns into compulsions and anxiety?
