My therapist told me if you’re not having all the ocd symptoms they may not diagnose you or may miss diagnose you! Be aware of this when seeing a non ocd therapist so that they don’t trigger you and make you spike again! (From experience)
OCD is a chronic disorder. It doesn't go away. I think you would really benefit from an OCD assessment. That's how I got diagnosed. You need to find a therapist that understands OCD and specializes in ERP. It truly does help. I highly recommend starting treatment through NOCD. My therapist is awesome. Also, traditional talk therapy does not work for OCD. Good luck to you.
OCD doesn’t really “go away.” if yours has, then take that as a win and consider yourself the luckiest person that ever was haha.
I meant that I think my fears have come true should I still be seeing an ocd specialist?
