acceptance is life changing
Even though my OCD isn’t too bad and will probably have another episode soon (horrible last week and I think it was due to my PMS too lol) but i’m here to tell you all just accept the thoughts sooner. Don’t fight them, cry if you have to, let the anxiety sit there and embrace your thoughts. This week I set myself a target to accept my thoughts, doesn’t mean I have to like them, and truly accept uncertainty of the future. Especially with something like SOCD or POCD it’s so terrifying, the evidence you may have, etc. It affects your sleep, your eating, it can change you, but it’s never too late to start accepting uncertainty and your thoughts. I’m probably gonna have another episode soon and i’ll have to manage that, but it’s X10 easier accepting the thoughts, even the scary ones, the intrusive thoughts etc. So moral of the story is make friends with your OCD, just think of her like a passive aggressive friend lmao🤍
