Anybody ever wonder if they’re a narcissist? like deep down i know i’m not a narc, because i care too much about people and i empathize as well.. but over the years my caring and empathetic side has dwindled because the battle in my mind is never ending?

Yes I get that occasional worry too, I feel like for me it’s a part of doubting whether this OCD or not, so I’ll tell myself, maybe I’m just a narcissist and this isn’t ocd . Is that what you mean?
@Anonymous yeah kinda sorta.. i used to doubt my ocd bad.. but now i think i feel like i know i have it.. because it manifests in many ways.. it’s not normal how i think and how much i worry about things i have no control over.. but i think after putting in so many years of worrying about other people.. now i’m just tired because i need that attention for myself.. so it’s like am i bad for worrying about me this time
It sounds like you’ve spent so much time worrying about others that it’s time to put yourself first. It’s time for you to perhaps practice some self compassion. I’ve been doing some self compassion meditation and what’s so lovely about it is that it doesn’t necessarily provide reassurance for our doubts but it genuinely gives you a breather from thinking/ruminating endlessly. I hope you feel better soon. I feel like the OCD journey is really about learning put our true needs first and that is totally normal and human to have that need
