Shopping
When I'm doing shopping and I am about to take something I get an obsessive thought and it makes me to take another product from the back. Does somebody have similar problem?

Yes I have had this problem too. I have even gone as far as returning something I bought because of a bad thought. It is a viscous cycle. Therapy teaches that we are not supposed to give in to it because then we just feed it, but it is hard not to. I get it. We need to understand that these thoughts have no relationship to our actions. I hope this helps & I wish you luck.
Exactly the same problem, it is called “mental contamination”, I fear that objects are contaminated by the bad thought , but the more we change the object the stronger obsession will become
Does anybody else suffer from OCD due to finances? I always can’t help but feel if I buy a certain item it’ll be my downfall or spiraling of bad habits that’ll leave me broke. Even if it comes to wanting to plan a vacation I always feel like I can’t I need to save that money because something will happen. I’m unsure if I’m conflating these feelings with just life
Can harm ocd give you thoughts like when you’re in front of a trigger “why don’t you do it” and sometimes I either freeze don’t know what to do with myself and then an urge to throw the item away. Is this something else? And sometimes I get thoughts like “what if I’m lying to myself” and “do you think you’re lying to yourself”
I don't know if it's necessarily ocd related, but does anyone else get super obsessive over the orders they purchase? For example I admittedly impulsively got a cheap refurbished ipad, iPad pen and a case. (All together it was like 120 some dollars, like you can't tell me you wouldn't impulsively do that too.) Anyway, everytime I get something online I always end up religiously checking where it's at. Sometimes multiple times throughout the day despite knowing that it likely is still in the same place. It's been really bad with the iPad though for multiple reasons. First of all, this is one of the first devices I've gotten with my own money. Second of all, the pen and case came in before the actual iPad so I'm getting impatient. 🥲 My mom has this issue too so I'm pretty sure it's some weird genetic.
