Felt like I’ve lost my attraction to men 😔 Ik I have my Icks to some and haven’t been treated right from past relationships, just needed to remember that I just haven’t found one that’s good enough for me to be with. Yet I’m backed up by thoughts that I’ve lost my attraction to them cause of those reasons.
I’m getting intense false attraction and I hate it. I feel like a fraud and I’m so scared to get married and have kids
Take time to heal and remember attraction normally is going to fluctuate for so many different reasons that are our or your/our control!
@ohseedee8 why would it flucate :( I’m going thru SOOCD and these false attractions towards woman make me feel like It’s real and not false attraction and that I’m bisexual
@Anonymous hormones, stability/quality of relationship at a particular time, underlying stress/anxiety at a particular time, etc. It's also possible part of you is curious and just having thoughts about it, like everyone else does! Those thoughts are normal, the problem is the ocd and the tendency to obsess over it.
@ohseedee8 Does this mean your sexuality can change? I literally thought one girl was attractive and it felt so real and I spiraled. I hate it sm. I want to straight only. I hate ocd I can’t ever catch a break
@Anonymous Youre sexuality cant change nit to reassure you but really its just about letting it go and accepting. You dont have to accept you might be gay but maybe accept those feelings and dont have any thoughts about them. Feel them and explore with curiosity and expose yourself to those funny feelings, and watch your thoughts come in and let them go without needing to "figure something out". This usually works for me and yes its very uncomfy and it makes me hella cringe but with pocd as a previous obsession this is really the thing that worked for me. A sense of humor always heal as well. When i had pocd when a thought like "what if i like looking at that boys butt" i would respond with "ohhh yeah look at that little butt so cute and small" and then i would laugh and admire how cute kids are. Its a little weird but you have to do what you can to face your fear. Hope you can get better:)
@charissepisces2021 The main thing is to face your fear and you gotta ask yourself qnd really be honest about what you are AFRAID of. Is it about not being attracted to men? Why are you afraid of that? Why are you afraid of liking women? What cause that fear do you think to where it triggers you more than most things? ( not trying to make you be ok with gayness but its a good idea to peel open these layers and find the truth about what your really afraid of). Start asking the right questions and you will find something you didnt think you would, trust me.

@Anonymous Thats the sort of thought youbhave to just let come in and out of your mind. You arent accepting anything except the feelings right now, you are facing the fear and sitting with that. In other words you wont find the answer to that question! Frustrating right?

@Anonymous Youve just created a habit of doubt and fear in your mind and its just gotten out of hand. You just gotta make the habit of letting go, which WILL be hard at first. Thats why they say start exposing yourself to the triggers that cause less anxiety. I always just went for the worst triggers though bc im impatient lol.

Can having socd make you lose attraction. I have never be the girl to obsess or chase after boys does that mean I’m gay. I had crushes on them but I would rather die then have them know I like them. Plus I knew they were out of my league so even if they did like me I feel like I would say no for some reason. I have been single all my life and thinking of being in a relationship feels so weird and scary and foreign. Like I feel like I won’t be in a relationship. I won’t look good with anyone or I will feel like an imposter. Idk how to explain it. I want to feel love but all this is making me feel like I never will.
So i started to feel like a lesbian again and that i have to be one. I dont want to be one. I just dont. But being straight feel like a lie now. I question my whole life, my feelings and everything. The biggest indicator of this must be that i will be slowly 21 year old and ive never dated anyone and i dont really find anyone attractive and i dont even know if i truly was attracted to someone and im scared of relationships i might have trauma or have anxious avoidant attachment. Help me. I do feel lost. Really lost. I dont know who am I anymore. I feel like that i must have been gay my whole life now. I feel like an alien. I sometimes feel like 2 people are living inside of me.😞😞😞
I’m like 90% sure I’m just bi, more romantically inclined to men, mainly my bf who I wanna marry. But now my brain is like “if you lean into liking women or keep circling and circling for answers you’ll lose all attraction to men and your bf. You’re practically already a lesbian” I feel so tense and anxious I will admit I am talking to chat gpt out of desperation I’m scared of losing all attraction to him I don’t wanna be thinking about women. I don’t unless I’m really stressed cuz when I’m stressed my ocd can take advantage of that I can usually ground myself when I’m in the city with him but I’m back home for most of the summer and I can’t be physically close to him which usually reminds me that hey this is real this is what I really want in life. Him But then I panic and question I haven’t been here in a while tbh. I’m worried I don’t feel enough. I don’t like magic Mike all that much, I like softer guys. But now the fact I don’t like/get turned on by random men on tv but do women in lingerie really stresses me out and makes me worry I’m truly a lesbian but I’m not. Once I started getting to know my bf and my ex bf’s I really did truly genuinely like them and wanted to make out and everything. Idk can anyone relate to the not liking big buff men All my brain is repeating rn is “when he dies you’ll be able to date a woman, when you break up you’ll only wanna date women” and it’s stressing me out. It’s making me nauseous. I was doing well for about a couple days after I initially left but being at home has been so incredibly draining This might give you a vision of how stressful home is: I’ve been on nexplanon for 7 months ish? Only had very minimal spotting during a stressful school period. Today: fully bleeding, like a usual period. I haven’t had my period since having it put in. I wanna go back to my bf so badly rn. I’m so worried I’m faking or don’t feel enough. I’m learning what a healthy relationship looks like and I’m terrified I’m gonna up and leave him when we’re older cuz I’ll finally figure out that I’m a lesbian or smthn. Idk. Someone pls just help me out a tad
