Are there any Christians on here with POCD? It's so difficult to navigate for me because all of these thoughts feel so unholy and real at the same time and I feel so far from God during them, like I'm a totally different person. Anyone relate?
Right here! You aren't alone, and God understands that it's difficult for you, God knows your problem, and In sure He has ways of fixing them! But for me it's pretty bad, I've recently been thinking of a lot of bad words without even wanting to, and recently accidentally started thinking about the Holy Spirit in my mind without wanting to, I almost thought I committed blasphemy until I really figured it out, wish you blessings from our caring and merciful Father and Jesus Christ our Lord!

Same! I also feel unworthy sometimes and I have times where I feel like I am doomed to live like this but these are lies of the enemy! We need to remind ourselves daily that we are Gods sons and daughters and nothing can and will seperate us from his love! God bless💜

I overcame it by accepting it! It's NOT easy and sometimes I want to give up, but you have to conquer it thought by thought, day by day, I stopped being mad at God and begging him for freedom just a while ago. Almost 2 years with this theme, and one day I just really wanted to stop being in fear. I go to therapy, practice ERP, and when those nasty and scary images/thoughts come up I've learned how to respond, doesn't mean it always works, but it does mean you overcame the fear of it and want to live life. Does anyone have spiritual ocd dealing with blasphemous thoughts as a Christian
Is there anyone on here that practices the Christian faith seriously? My faith is my most important part of my life, and ocd seems to affect it the most. It is very hard to discern between genuine faith/ sin concerns and when my OCD goes overboard and my concern is not valid. I feel like I'm always concerned I'll sin, or that some thought is a sin and it's a very difficult cycle to break. If I could associate a compulsion, it's be confessing things. Anyone else struggle in this way and have advice? I'm currently on a wait list for a NOCD provider.
Hi friends, To my fellow christian’s who struggle with OCD. Can you share what you notice to be compulsions for you mentally/physically when it comes to faith? I’m struggling to differentiate what is me and my faith and what is me and the OCD. I don’t have a therapist so just would love some advice. EXAMPLES Iv noticed in myself I think are apart of the OCD: - obsessing over reading the Bible first thing, needing to keep my Bible streak and feeling guilty if I don’t -repeating certain prayers that I think I need to pray to be safe -mentally checking that I still feel connected to God throughout the day
