I’m so sorry. I know what you mean. I’ve been there before. Just with the harming thoughts. I’ve come a long way from where I once was because I used to have back to back panic attacks when these thoughts would come. I still get panicked sometimes now when they come, but I can work through them better than I used to and would love to try ERP to help even more. It’s a very scary place to be at. So, know you are not alone. You may feel alone, but remind yourself that there are SO many other people dealing with these thoughts and feelings. This community is proof of that.

@Peace2001 Thank you so much. It does make me feel better to know I’m not alone. I’m definitely grateful for this app, and hearing how other people feel too. I guess it’s hard not to separate myself and feel like I’m the one who really is this person and is blending in. But I guess from what I’ve heard everyone with this has that same feeling of being the one that can’t be helped. It’s just still hard not to feel that way though. Thank you for sharing your experience as well, it makes me feel hopeful hearing that you’ve come a long way.

@bloominglotus You’re welcome. And yes, our brains can tell us a lot of untrue things, unfortunately. You are stronger than you are thinking and trust me there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been many years of me dealing with this and I just recently learned the medical term harm OCD. I had lived for years thinking what is wrong with me, why are these thoughts coming at me, am I really a bad person. And just knowing there is a name for it has given me so much peace. And it has helped me find this app and information of what I can do to help it more. I look back and can think how far I have already come and know now that I can go even further. There will be good and bad days but you will get stronger with each day. One thing I have told myself for years, is I am one day closer to my breakthrough.

@bekind94 I’m sorry to hear you deal with this too. I am trying to remember this even if it feels convincing. Thank you, I don’t have snap but I appreciate the offer so much.
