How do you deal with OCD throwing “evidence” of things you may or may not have done in the past that makes the thoughts to appear more real? I find it really difficult to know if that stuff even happened since it was years and years ago and i try to remember if it was true and if it was, what does that say about me. I go crazy trying to shut down all of OCD’s allegations against me

@My OCD Academia Hey! My apolgies for the late reply! Let me tell you a story. I’ve been a straight male my whole entire life. Loved girls for as long as I can remember. Last year after a bout of erectile dysfunction due to a porn addiction, I fell into the depths of SOOCD. I couldn’t figure out why I could barely get hard with a woman. I was devastated there was days I could barely move. I had a girlfriend but I was terrified I was lying to myself. My brain would come up with all sorts of “evidence” that I was gay, from my past. For example when I was about 11 or so one of my male friends rubbed my leg as a joke. We wernt alone we were in a room full of friends You know how kids are Anyway fast forward a decade later my brain pulled that out of nowhere and was convincing me that I liked that and that was evidence I was gay. OBVIOUSLY THATS RIDICULOUS!!!! OCD will find anything to make you pay attention to it.

did you ever get these feelings where it felt absolutely convincing that your worst fears were true?
