Yes, I find myself repeating conversations trying to find the correct way it went for hours. I think I figured it out then I loose it but then remember something else happening and I don’t know what to believe anymore

Hey there! My name is Joseph and I am a 20-year old entrepreneur and student with OCD. Recently I became extremely motivated to help the OCD community so I started a collaborative online space where we can all talk, trade resources, bring in speakers, and just really work together and build connections within this community. My ultimate goal is to get you to harness your OCD for the greatness it can bring in your life. Hang in there, please. I'd really love for you to join so that we can have these conversations in full detail amongst the community. I think it will make a wonderful supplement to your NOCD therapy journey. Love you :) https://www.skool.com/the-ocd-advantage-7537/about

That’s kinda my question. All my thoughts feel so realistic and so now I doubt if they are ocd and if I just can’t make my mind up about something and I’m using ocd as an excuse or something idc I feel like this post is word vomit.

Does anyone have any advice for how to know the difference between ocd and real feelings/thoughts? Sometimes an intrusive thought will come in and I immediately know it’s ridiculous and I can just leave it alone and it won’t bother me but other times I really really don’t know. It’s when ocd hijacks and twists my real feelings and thoughts and tries to manipulate me into believing they’re something they’re not or something that doesn’t align with my true morals or intentions. But since it’s twisting and mixing with real feelings I get so confused and scared. Everything gets jumbled and I feel like I can’t trust myself or my own mind. Yet other times and other topics I can laugh off and push away just fine. Make it make sense. And then I start to think well maybe I don’t have ocd at all and I’m just in denial because I don’t want to accept that these scary/concerning things are true about myself. Or maybe that’s just the ocd talking.

I’ve asked this before and got no response but can ocd try to make you feel a certain way that you don’t actually feel? Such as telling you you’re jealous or upset in a situation when you don’t even care or feel that way at all. Can ocd cause you to feel the emotion along with the intrusive thought even though it’s not your true feelings?
