Is there something you can admit that you're actually quite good at? Everyone has a gift or talent or flare for something. It can be very small. It's still important and unique to only you. Maybe tell yourself, "ya so what? I read that but it didn't stop me from being/achieving (enter the thing you're most proud of here). It's okay to not make the goal forgetting it. Make your goal accepting it for what it was. Thank it for whatever lesson it was meant to teach you and then kindly ask it to leave as you have no need to re-learn or re-live this memory any longer. I believe in you.

I find video games or reading helps! When my OCD is really bad and I do an exposure but it’s still lingering I do an activity that takes up my entire brain space so it’s harder for those thoughts to break through

Again I dont know about you, but trust me, no matter what it is, you
