I might call. Things haven’t gotten better since my last post. No I’m not going to hurt myself, I just need to speak to someone who won’t talk over me or tell me to take it to god or tell me “that’s just life”. Does anyone know where you can get a hug if you don’t live near anyone that’s a friend? That’s so pathetic but I literally just want a hug.
Sometimes, I hug myself until I fall asleep—because when I seek support from people, I feel even more fragile. The truth is, we’re all imperfect, and even those we trust can let us down. So I turn to Allah. I ask Him to embrace me with His love. And slowly, a quiet warmth fills my chest… like He’s saying, “I’m here.” OCD feels heavier when people are too involved. But with Allah, I find peace—soft, steady, and safe.
@shaima1989 I respect your faith, and I’m glad you found comfort in it. But sometimes people aren’t looking for divine answers—they’re just looking to be human with someone. Not everyone needs to be told to “turn to God.” Sometimes they just need to hear: “I see you. You don’t have to go through this alone.” Spirituality can be beautiful. But empathy doesn’t always need to be wrapped in religion—it just needs to be present.

@Rayanswaid Thank you for your reply. I respect your perspective, and I understand that not everyone connects with spirituality or seeks divine answers. That said, my comment came from a sincere place of support based on what has personally helped me through my OCD journey. I wasn’t trying to preach or convert—just sharing a tool that’s been life-saving for me, the same way others share what works for them. We’re all different, and support can look like many things: empathy, science, therapy, faith, or a mix of it all. Just as empathy shouldn’t always be wrapped in religion, I believe it also shouldn’t exclude it. For some of us, turning to God is part of being human. I think there’s room for both spiritual and non-spiritual approaches in a space that’s meant to support everyone.

I’ve called the hotline before for support. They listened and worked through calming strategies with me. It was really helpful. Those call centers are for anyone, not just the super severe cases
@r.m.1 I’m traumatized from being strapped to stretcher like an animal the last time I asked for help. I wasn’t even having a breakdown they just tied me down like I was a threat and no one listened to me. Idk I’m just nervous
@FWann~ They also have texting support which can be less anxiety provoking. I’ve texted them before too and it was helpful

I hate sitting in my room with only me and my thoughts. I have lost my faith in the lord and can’t seem to get on with my life. I’m so stuck on everything and can’t seem to get better. I keep self harming and get to the point to where I see the second layer of my skin. It gets worse and worse each time I have suicidal thoughts. One of these days it’ll get so bad that well you can probably guess what I may do. I have been abused physically mentally and sexually in my past and it haunts me every single day of my life. Any time I try to talk to someone about my mental health they tell me I’m a waste of their time or that I need to talk to someone other than them. But all that does is make me keep it all bottled up and I can’t take it anymore. They say mental abuse is worse than physical and I can see why they say that. I just want a normal life so I don’t have to be depressed 24/7. It ruins my social life and it makes me loose my friends and family because of how distant I am. I just need help and please give me advice. Also sorry I’m not very good at explaining things.
I feel like it's got to a point that I just can't deal with stuff on my own anymore. I've tried to help myself with compulsions and thoughts and behaviours and it helps to an extent but I feel like I just need more help. But I don't even know where to start, I've felt so ignored in the past and I don't even know where you can turn to. I'm in the UK so it's difficult, especially considering I'm only 17, to get any help for this kind of thing. I just want someone to talk to, something to help – medication, maybe? I want to try it, I want to see if it would stop the overthinking for a while. Stuff isn't as bad as it has been before, but I feel like I can't just leave this anymore. I just don't know who to turn to or where to go from here.
Does anyone know of any rehabilitation centers for mental health? My ocd has gotten bad today to the point where I feel like leaving :( and desperately get help . Ever since I began medication months ago I been feeling fine but all sudden I feel like my episodes are rapidly coming back. I’m more responsive to them. I find myself ruminating more and engaging in compulsions. I feel embarrassed that my family would have to know if I considered making that choice of leaving . It’s never gotten to this breaking point , or at least I don’t think. I’ve been through this a billion times and each time it feels like it’s the worst and it’s gonna be the one that will permanently take over me and my full control. I’m from Elkhart, Indiana. Or if there’s anyone here that can talk to me I’d appreciate it I feel so alone right now and I’m more vulnerable because I’m home alone and I don’t have many friends. I’m scared that I’m gonna lose touch with myself. I don’t wanna lost my values or stop feeling my normal self. It feels real and scary. I want it to stop.
