@🎀🧸🩷🤍 Yes, think about all the writers that have written stories about serial killers or stalkers, maybe worse. It doesn't make them bad people. Most of them live relatively calm lives.

@nae nae I mean for example creepypasta offenderman but they are all killers one way or another and yet some people hate it some people like it I mean hell creepypasta and goosebumps got me into horror

@🎀🧸🩷🤍 Maybe look at examples in film or other forms of media and see how they portray their characters without going too far. This is my opinion, but if I'm watching a horror that involves a character like this, I prefer it to be hinted at (like a metaphor or having the audience figure it out), rather than explicitly shown by actions. And if it is, why? What does it add to the story? Is it merely for the shock/horror factor, or is it telling the viewer something and adding on to the story or perhaps a character. For example, and I don't know if you've seen this, but the series "Twin Peaks," directed by David Lynch has a character that is like this. It was disturbing and incredibly difficult to watch certain scenes, but it added depth to the story and the characters. It delved into themes of generational cycles and trauma, and it didn't "romanticize" it.

@🎀🧸🩷🤍 I love Twin Peaks, too. My older brother got me into it! :) I hadn't ever seen any of David Lynch's films, so it was a blind watch lol. Anyway... Honestly, I think you're going to do amazing writing horror films. Don't let OCD convince you otherwise, or that it's somehow going to affect who you are as a person. I can tell you're passionate about this and will put a lot of care into what you do! 🫶🏻
