PLEASE HELP

I remember another thing from the past where it was a sexual thought and I don’t remember if I was talking to or dating my gf at the time but it was like “if I was talking to someone else like _____ I’d be able to have sex already” and I feel terrible bc I don’t want sex. I would rather be with my girlfriend than any other girl. Idk if the thought was intrusive or not. I think the people or person I was thinking of may have been intrusive. I’m just terrified bc I really love my gf and don’t care about sex

@BB1224 Personally for me it's a bit easier because I'm asexual, but I try reminding myself that it's not how I really feel and focusing on the positive feelings I have about my partner, so I can more easily tell myself it's an intrusive thought

Ok, everything is okay!!! The biggest hurdle in OCD recovery is accepting this truth: OUR THOUGHTS DON'T MEAN ANYTHING. You don't have to figure out of if the thought was intrusive or not. You don't have to figure out if you "meant" the thought or "liked" the thought. In fact, you have to STOP trying to figure out if the thoughts mean anything at all. HERE IS YOUR JOB: Let the thoughts drift by, and don't try to stop them or fix them or do anything about them. And then you go on with your life. Imagine a tree planted by a river. The leaves fall off and float down the river. You don't pick them up and examine them. You don't fix them. You just let them float by. You need to start practicing doing the same thing with your thoughts. You can watch the thoughts float by, and then you go on with your life. You actually do NOTHING regarding the thoughts. I know right now that people want to protest, "But these thoughts make me a bad person! I have to figure them out!" WRONG. You need to practice ERP, every time, no matter how bad the thoughts are . (And with OCD, the thoughts can get really, really bad.)

@Tea and Honey But now there’s another thought that is coming by that’s like “what if you started talking to or snapping the girl after that” and I know that I would never do something like that but I genuinely don’t remember and I’m terrified of that

@BB1224 This new thought is just like all the other thoughts. Start putting all your thoughts in the garbage 🗑️ bin. Start considering that all your thoughts are like wisps of smoke 💨 and don't mean anything. Remember, the thoughts just don't mean anything. It doesn't matter how many "new" thoughts you get. Just let the thoughts float by. Your only job is to keep doing things in life, and to just let the thoughts pass.

@BB1224 This will take practice. It takes a lot of practice over time. But try to give your thoughts the same response EVERY TIME. Just let them float by, while you go about your life. It takes a lot of practice, but it will get easier and easier :):):)

intrusive feelings

hey, so i’ve had these insane thoughts about like, this dude. and i assumed it’s intrusive feelings, but it also has happened w the fact o think i like girls? but i don’t? like, i get the gronal response, and everything, and like, it sometimes feels like i actually like them, but it always makes me sick? same way w the false attraction guy, and it even started happening w my bsf of like 9 years? and it’ll tell me the most insane things like “maybe u are attracted” “maybe if u got w them the thoughts will stop” someone please help.

18+ Intrusive thoughts during s3x

I was having intimacy. Watching p0rn. And during climax i got intrusive thoughts a d anxious. I hate when this happens. As a compulsion whenever i get intrusive ocd thoughts i usually think of my wife or therapist (whose a man) and say their name. For my wife its because shes the love of my life. My comfort. And during intimacy of course to arouse over her. When i think of my therapist its not anything sexual its just like a comforting thought since hes the one that is helping me thru ocd. But now ocd is saying why did i think lf him during climax. And in my head i heard my voicr saying his name but this was my way of distracting myself from the intrusive thoughts. It wasnt to arouse myself over him it was tk distract myself and it wasnt a compulsion. Ocd tries associating it with my sexual experience and its making me feel very guilty and anxious. Then i worry was i saying his name. I did in my head but it wasnt again a compulsion tk distract from ocd. Then that made me anxious so i said my wifes name and thougjt kf her. I just had intrusive thought so i panicked and out of compulsive habit i usual say thr name of my wifr and therapist

So I’m really scared that I won’t be able to differentiate my thoughts, real thoughts, to the intrusive ones.

So pretty much I’ve been dealing with intrusive thoughts my entire life, I had no idea could’ve been symptom of OCD until maybe a year ago , I have this fear right now that I don’t actually love my fiancé and I’m not attracted to men. I am attracted to men. Let me be clear. I’m not attracted to females. I never have been and I never will be. But it’s one of the scariest thoughts I’ve ever had that I don’t actually care about the person that I would sacrifice anything for that I would do anything for. He’s pretty much the closest family that I have and I just wanna be with him for the rest of my life. A couple months ago was that I just didn’t care at all, and I didn’t have any feelings and everything that I felt was me being fake in that nothing was real. But I eventually got over that and the new thought is that I’m actually gay even though I know I’m not. And in the world we live in now where it’s be yourself be you if it comes across your mind. That’s the obvious truth. Be yourself… It’s kind of scary to think about. I just want it to leave me alone. I’m actually so scared that eventually I’ll believe it because some thoughts that I’ve learned were intrusive. I ended up starting to believe and it turned into a whole catastrophe for my life. I met this girl and she felt a certain way about her husband and then she told me that eventually I’ll feel that way and ever since then I just I haven’t gotten over this fear that I’m gonna end up feeling the same way she is. Also, I recently got over a few themes. I’m not ready to share, but I’m so proud that I got over those and I just I’m waiting for this one to leave me alone and it’s not and I’m starting to get really scared that it’s true and I don’t want it to be true. and just to be very clear I don’t care who you love what you love who you like what you identify as because you can in fact be yourself but this just doesn’t feel like me. I’m genuinely reaching out to try to get help for this because now it’s messing with our personal life. We’ve never argued so much in our entire relationship and now I realize that it’s mainly my fault because I’m detaching myself from all emotion just so that I can get over this thought I’m detaching myself from all intimacy and that’s even scarier because what if it’s not me detaching myself and it’s me just not being attracted that’s another thought I’ve hadI’ve gone all long enough so thanks.
