Hello! I don’t personally take lexapro, but I have friends who do and I’ve had my fair share of experiences with different SSRIS so I feel like I can somewhat help you! So when I started my different SSRIS each time I had insane hot flashes, felt sick, and felt panicked more than before. This all died down after a week or too but I do still overheat easily. My friends on lexapro have experienced the same things. You are not alone! If it gets to be too much I would chat with your DR about trying out other meds cause some people have more of a reaction to different meds and another different one may work better for you. For reference I was on celexa and switched to prozac.

Hi, yes was also on escitalopram and had side effects mostly affecting my hair. It really didnt have any effect on both ocd and depression so had to stop, sometimes changes in apetite aswell as can remember since it was a year ago last time i took it. It is for sure different with everyone, so not everyones side effects are the same. Did your side effects stop the first time after a while? The best thing is to track how long they are there and how much they affect you. 🩷
