18+ only nsfw is it bad that i saw a deepfake and it didnt immediately kill my arousal physically? like i blocked the account that posted it i think but i still scrolled a bit at other accounts. i wish i had an off switch. like it really made me anxious to see it and i wish i reported it since that stuff is illegal now. im so scared. also my cat was trying to get my attention, i just saw her in my peripheral tho and didnt look directly at her but i feel bad that it took me a while to stop feeling aroused when she was there and that should have been enough for me to stop as well as the content i mentioned

I mean I feel like it might be normal but I suppose a lot of it comes down to like what you were originally doing, if you were looking for content to get aroused then even if after seeing that image it makes sense to continue to be aroused and your pet being there doesn't mean it has to necessarily kill your arousal it might be an awkward feeling, I will say you do have to remember tho even with this your ocd will still convince you otherwise so it's up to you to use tools available the classic "maybe, maybe not" for if it's normal when these thoughts come up it will suck especially on days when ocd is terribly strong

@Ammbriel Fyrinx'l does this also apply if i stay that way after remembering something bad i saw? like over the years i have seen and been exposed to so much bad stuff against my will online and its gross and disturbing and my mind brings it up at the worst times

@ihateithere Humm I think that's the like double edge sword to the internet with all the information we can gain there will be bad information we come across and people like us will unfortunately be victims of it coming up whenever, I'm personally working with my therapist on finding good ways to just kinda acknowledge that those thoughts are there and don't need to be but your ocd will always make you doubt that you want them there to some extent and with how much gross stuff is on the internet sadly I can only imagine the unfortunate things you've seen on accident but you're ocd might also be seeking a certain answer that is black or white and this truly is a grey area

@Ammbriel Fyrinx'l yeah unfortunately the thing i mentioned in this post isnt the only thing i saw and moved on from for my own selfishness today. i described another scenario in another post and i guess ti is a grey area but i feel guilty for putting myself in these situations to begin with

@ihateithere Okay creeper a bit for some more context and from just what you're posting I want to say 1) some techniques that have helped me when I'm feeling everything all at once is the dropping anchor technique/leaves on a stream technique you can Google and watch the Google meditations the first few times until you can do it on your own 2) you're brand new to this adulting thing you still are adjusting to hormones but if you are noticing too much of an addiction to NSFW stuff it might be time to work on cutting it either out or limiting it down it's a grey area and everyone experiences that differently 3) still definitely remember the internet is the wild west and fuck up shit can pop up anywhere especially the practically lawless lands of Twitter and to wrap it all up always remember your ocd will make you seek reassurance which sometimes is okay but ocd will never be satisfied and it's up to you to inevitably make the decision sometimes gotta put your foot down and tell ocd to piss off (easier said than done ik)
