it's very common for people to be undiagnosed with autism if they don't fit the traditional mold (white cis male). additionally, research is finding autism might be a lot more present and complex than previously thought. autism and ocd are often comorbid, as autistic people (especially those undiagnosed and unable to seek treatment) develop ocd over time in an attempt to cope

I do not know very much about autism, but OCD, for certain! There are a lot of sufferers who are not formally diagnosed until adulthood. I guess it just depends on when the symptoms become the most distressing/noticeable.
