I am an ocd newbie. It began as sexual orientation ocd and relationship ocd, but has lately evolved into a bit of harm ocd. I want to get back to work (I took this week off) but am not sure when is the right time. Has anyone experienced something similar? I’m starting treatment next week with an NOCD therapist, so I was hoping I’d get some relief starting next week just by opening up about everything and feeling like I’m going to get some help. But I’m really torn about when to return to work and if I should just take the plunge next week. I’m an attorney and work is very stressful but also can be a heathy distraction/something else to focus on besides my thoughts. My boss said I could come back part time too which may be nice.
