SSRI’s
Is anyone here on any medication (SSRI’s or Benzo’s) for your OCD and anxiety? Any good experience? Any bad experience? I’ve been trying really hard to stay away from SSRI’s but I also want to be myself again.

i take lexapro (10mg) and it curved my intrusive thoughts and compulsions by a lot, as well as helping with my depression. no bad experience with it so far
@julesy Thank u!!
Yep! Good experience: it seems to have decreased the loudness of intrusive thoughts. Bad experience: I compulsively thought about he warning sheet that came with the medicine so much that it led into suicidal ocd.

Hey friends, I hope you all are well. I just wanted to check in and ask people's experiences about being on medication. I have had OCD pretty much my whole life, just got recently diagnosed 4 months ago and my therapist recommended that I get on meds for it so I have a psychiatrist appointment set up. I'm a little apprehensive about getting on them, but I've realized that I do have some sort of chemical imbalance in my brain that plays a part in my OCD and anxiety. I would love to hear anyones experiences or words of encouragement. Thank you, I hope you all are well.
I understand that everyone is different but lately I have been debating on medication just because of past experiences but does anyone have any good experiences with medication that has helped them with their OCD as well as therapy or treatment? As of now I’m dealing with it by myself but it feels like it may be getting worse
Hey what’s up y’all Does anyone else have generalized anxiety along with OCD and is taking a low dose medication? I wanted to try something I’m not big on meidcation but it’s getting to a point that it’s really affecting my day to day even though I’ve been dealing with it for years and years
