Help!!
Hey all.. I'm on my journey to recovery and many themes that I used to struggle with don't bother me as much anymore. HOWEVER, I still have intrusive thoughts on a daily basis- they could be about literally anything. I'm confused as to why this is happening. Here's my understanding of OCD- people usually have specific themes and the thoughts present themselves over and over because you keep REACTING to them. your brain is like "this is a threat- I should show you the thought so you can defend yourself against this perceived threat". This I understand. BUT- these thoughts don't even seem to be following a particular theme- I just have random intrusive thoughts pop up all throughout the day. Why is this still happening? And will they ever subside? Please help me with this, I could really use some insight. Thanks
