Family as a trigger
I’ve been visiting with and hosting my sister this week and working VERY hard on maintaining boundaries (p proud of myself actually). At the same time, discussions around her health and living situation can bring up ‘doubtful’ and stressful feelings and of course I’m not trying to foster that or feel panicked in general, so—any advice on self-support that’s healthy, while with a family member you love but who may trigger these feelings? I’m trying to use her stay as an opportunity for exposure, but BOY is it hard to resist the familiar coping mechanisms. C:
