Like having an uptick in intrusive thoughts related to family members, being home, just surrounding that theme? Would appreciate input! It makes me feel so isolated. ..

Hi I love Christmas but it’s so annoying it makes it harder cause I love Christmas 😔 I live at home with my parents and son atm due to a toxic relationship ending ….I don’t know why Christmas makes the intrusive thoughts worse …maybe it’s because it’s a time to be “loved up” with a partner and it’s like one of those things that only happens once a year at the end of the year so makes you think more about life in general and what’s going to happen in the new year etc. also comparing yourself to other family members who are happy in relationships and stuff 🙈🙈

OCD worse in fall/winter: Does anyone else's OCD get worse in the fall/wintertime? I think maybe it's the combination of it being shitty and dark outside all the time, and always having to just be in the house. My friends are at college during that time of year too, so basically I just have zero distraction and it gives my brain too much time to overthink and create issues. I used to think I had seasonal affective disorder until I found out I had OCD, but I don't.
In the thick of the holidays, we understand what a triggering time this can be for Relationship OCD. It's hard not to notice all those people on social media getting engaged and not ruminate on the "what ifs" and fears of our friends and relationships. I would love to know how your ROCD is doing this time of year? Do you have any tips you've found to be helpful as you prepare for this season?
I’m under a lot of stress right now between getting sick , getting my period , moving to a new apartment , and going on vacation next week. I feel like it’s made me distant and my partner focused OCD has gotten so much worse along with ROCD and SOOCD. I feel like I’ve been so hypercritical of my boyfriend and feeling nothing towards him and that stresses me out because last week when I was clear and my OCD had calmed down I felt so lovey dovey towards him. Now I just feel like a menace so I’m wondering if this happens to anyone else?
