She said she was 18 right away when i asked her for her age... and she asked me how old i was first, and when i asked her for her date of birth, she responded with "13😭" but said she was 18 8 minutes after... i was asleep at the time so i didnt see this... i hope she wasnt lying about her age...

@Givenup She clearly says 18. If she was lieing, there's nothing you can do. Try to accept that. If she had made it clear she was under 18 that would be different. When she said "13" for her date of birth, it couldve been a typo. Or maybe she just didn't want to share it yet, so she just gave you the date she was born without the month or year. As you said, it's been two years since. Girls do lie about their age, I used to, but as long as you know you've done everything you can to make sure youre talking to someone 18 and over, and if you suspect someone is younger you stop talking to them, you've done everything within your power.

@Anonymous Im just scared she might have accidentally said her true age and then tried to correct it... when I asked for her age the first time, she immediately responded that she was 18. And when I didnt respond to the number "13😭", 8 minutes later she said she was 18 without any prompting.

@Givenup She might have. The important thing is, you'll never get any answers, no matter how much you ruminate. You don't talk to her anymore, and you have no desire to. Try to be kind to yourself and take comfort in the fact that she told you she was 18 twice. Even meeting people face to face, you can never be 100% certain. It's even harder online.

@Givenup It's impossible to know for sure. She could have been wondering why you wanted her full date of birth. Some people are private like that, which was maybe why she only said 13. Then realising it looked like she was saying she was 13, she said 18 again. From the one screenshot I can see, I would take it as she is 18.

@Givenup The site is 18 plus, she said she was 18, you would assume she is that. I understand your concern. If she was underage, it doesn't make you a pedophile or a bad person. If it makes you feel any better, I used to lie all the time about my age on chat sites, but I'd never consider the men I chatted with to be pedophiles, as I always said I was older.

@Anonymous This was on the NSFW discord server... members would verify their ages by using an ID and taking a selfie to prove they were 18 or older... i cant remember if she was verified or not... She asked me what my age was first... I said I was 20, and she said she was 18... I wanted to make sure she wasnt lying, which was why I asked her for her DOB. She initially mistook it as her ethnicity and said she was latina. I then reaffirmed my question asking what date she was born on. After 5 hours at 5 AM, she said "13😭" before she reaffirmed her age being 18 8 minutes after... thats the full context... Im just so scared on whether or not she lied about her age... she had discord longer than me, so I assumed she wasnt lying... god i just hope she wasnt lying... 😭😭

@Givenup Your OCD could be affecting your memory. Maybe she was verified but because you're scared you don't remember. I promise you there's nothing to be scared of. Especially if your conversations weren't sexual. And if they were, she told you she was 18 twice. It sounds to me she may have said "13" because her English wasn't very good, or, she took it literally, what "date" were you born. I was born on the 15th. That doesn't make me 15, I'm 33 😊 If you've learnt anything from this, it's to stay away from those sites. Not because I think she was under age, but because it's clearly distressing for you. Try to distract yourself from this and know that it's in the past.

@Givenup No I don't. I think you're seeking reassurance though which won't help you long term. Do you have a therapist? Or a friend/family member you can talk to?

My pocd keeps saying that my worst fear of unknowingly cybering with a minor has actually happened and it's really triggering the hell out of me... I feel so horrible...My pocd keeps saying I "unknowingly erotically role played with a minor" when idek if this actually happened or not... this was nearly three years ago... (september of 2021) for context we were erotically role playing on an 18+ discord server, (she wasnt verified, but I assumed she was 18+ because we were on an 18+ place) and then she suddenly stopped responding, before leaving the server shortly after an unknown time... im so freaking anxious and scared... her grammar was fine at first, but then as we were going on, she kept making errors like "boxer" or "then" instead of "than"... my pocd keeps saying that I "UNKNOWINGLY EROTICALLY ROLEPLAYED WITH A MINOR" when idek if this happened or not... some people told me she sounds like/is a young adult... chatGPT tells me she sounded like a teenager... I genuinely dont know what to believe anymore...
