How long did you do therapy/ERP before you started to notice a difference in your OCD?
OCD is like a rollercoaster. There are ups and downs and you will have good days and bad days. There will never be a cure and I know I will never stop compulsing, but my goal is to compulse less.
I noticed a difference within the first week. Since then I noticed more of a difference in the next two weeks. I went from not being able to work because I couldn't get dressed for weeks to working 3 days a week! Now, I have taken 50 steps back and called into work every day this week because I couldn't get dressed.

@Nica Did you have pressure from your therapist to make faster progress?
@Anonymous No, but I have 6 mental illnesses I had to deal with and it was one therapist who did it all, so it worked out eventually.
hey, i totally get where you're coming from. the journey with ocd can feel super long and sometimes it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. for me, it took a few months of consistent therapy and erp before i started noticing some shifts in how i was dealing with my ocd. it's a process, for sure. 😌 i'm actually battling a different ocd theme, so i might not have the exact answers you're looking for. but, i found a couple of apps that have been helpful for me. one is called "unstuck ocd therapy tools." it's pretty cool because it gives you ai-personalized guidance and exercises right when you need them. my local ocd support group recommended it, and it's been a game-changer for those in-the-moment needs. another app i've tried is "gg ocd." it's different because it focuses on teaching you about cbt through small, digestible learning modules. it's not as personalized and doesn't offer in-the-moment help like unstuck, but it's a good start if you're looking to get the basics down on cbt for ocd. 📚 hope this helps a bit!

Hey guys! How long did it take for you to see positive results with ERP? I suffer from existential / spiritual OCD, obsessing over my own ego and spiritual enlightenment… I’ve been doing ERP for 2 months now and have not been seeing a big improvement.
I know everyone is different, but I want to hear about your recovery journey. How long were you in ERP before you started to see results? I’m three weeks in and struggling!
