How do you guys deal with religious OCD? I don’t wanna go to hell.. i’m so scared of blasphemous thoughts.. i feel like i force horrible blasphemous thoughts.. what am i evil? i’m seriously about to cry cause God please help me.. somebody please just help me
I struggle with this a lot too!! It’s hard having intrusive thoughts during prayer for me especially. One thing that helps me is the verse Matthew 10:29-31 “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” God loves us and knows our hearts deeply, he cares for you and understands how much these thoughts trouble you. He knows your heart :)

I don't understand why some people have to go through this theme. I did and still am to an extent for the past 5 months. Once I realized it truly was OCD and not me I turned the corner. I pray you will find peace soon.

Hello, I understand your pain, been there. Maybe you are not muslim, but you might find comfort in this as it is adressing the exact problem we have: Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: We asked the Messenger of Allah (The Prophet Mohammed), peace and blessings be upon him, about a man who finds thoughts within himself such that it would be more beloved for him to fall from the sky and be plucked by the birds than to speak openly of them. The Prophet said, “That is pure faith.” It is beautiful that actually not only does it completely reject the idea that you are not evil, but it also tells you that you care about your faith and purpose. A person who doesn’t care about God, wouldn’t mind offending Him.

Does anyone else feel like they think these horrible things on there own or on purpose. I feel like I'm intentionally trying to hurt god and the holy Spirit now and idk what to do. I feel like I'm becoming my worst fear. Idk what to do I feel like I'm losing touch with myself and idk what to do. And I'm really worried God is going to turn his face from me or I'm going to do something I am going to regret. I'm not really sure whats happening to me, but I'm scared I'm going crazy.
Hey I feel like I just have this evil like whirring feeling of anxiety and like “something bad is gonna happen” and feeling you’re going to do things against God or like you already have I guess?
Hey guys- I don’t know if any of you with religion/spirituality ocd struggle with the “unacceptable thoughts” about like evil and stuff but I’m struggling.. it feels like I believe that I want the evil stuff because I had demon-like voices in my head as ahead where I went to talk to God when I was experiencing great distress and then these evil thoughts came in and I let them in and like “ok-ed” evil stuff. Especially because I felt so forced into my faith journey as a kid so it’s like that “feeling rejected -> rebellion thing) but I also know that but I also have such fond memories of feeling so close to God to leaning on Him for so many things. It’s so hard because 90% of my memories as a kid, I struggled with severe ocd and no one knew what it was or how debilitating it could be I’m trying the ERP with these thoughts but😭 have any of you gone through the same things? It’s so strong In my mind because I know there’s actual spiritual warfare so I feel like - pray for me guys
