help please

there’s so much happening. i’m so scared God is sending me signs. First, my mom said she felt so bad when she hit my old friends face with a charger one time and her name is faith, and then, I got on my instagram and the first person on there with a post is that same friend, faith. I was like, okay that’s weird. I kinda had a panic attack about it, then I came out to my living room, and the tv mentioned someone named faith, and then a song played that sung about a sign. I correlate everything back to being scared that God wants me to break up with my boyfriend. Idk i have really bad rocd, and i’m terrified God is sending me a sign to do that, how do I know He’s not when signs like this happen? Please help.

You can set your mind up to look for anything, and it will see more of that thing. I went through a large phase of my life where it felt like I ALWAYS looked at the clock at 9:11. The more it happened, the more convinced I was that it was a sign of something bad. Lo and behold, the more anxious I got about it, the more I noticed every time the clock said 9:11. Eventually I just sort of stopped caring about it, and now I couldn't even tell you the last time I saw 9:11 on a clock. Not because I HAVEN'T seen it; I'm sure there are many times that I look at the clock at that time. I just no longer see it as a threat, so I don't notice anymore. My mind is no longer hyper-aware of it. Like Garrett said, see this as an opportunity to do some ERP. Maybe you can get to the point where you WANT to see these "signs." How many "Faith's" can you meet in one week? Challenge it!

These all sound like triggers for your intrusive thoughts. You should be doing ERP for these thoughts.......I don't believe that God would send signs to break up any relationship. I believe that is left to us, to decide what makes us happy......but such arguments will never be enough for OCD so I would leave that aside as maybe/ maybe not.....and work on your fears through ERP therapy

(Pocd) Please help me!!! I'm a Christian and as i've mentioned before Ive had mind chatters where i tell God to confirm if im a pedo or not by me hearing about a pedo getting delivered (and it actually happened because a user on here who's a good friend of mine shared a story about that!!!) And ive also mind chattered to Him to lemme know thru a dream and it just happened too!!!. I literally feel hot right now and I feel so much doom because I just woke up and dreamt something about a paper like a test having the word pedophilia in it I think it asked "do you have pedophilia?" with a fill in the blanks answer and the word "truth" was written as the answer ? these are just too much coincidences for it to not be God actually telling me. As we Christians know, there are no coincidences in God and that scares me even more!!. I always tell Him " don't listen to my mind chatters you know they don't come from the heart!! The reason I mind chatter about things is because I'm scared of them actually happening!" But now I'm starting to think my mind chatters are so much more meaningful than i thought. Maybe it wasn't even a dream and I just pictured it while being asleep and awake at the same time since my ocd thoughts wake me up night sometimes? Or am I just in denial to try to calm myself down? Omg how can I forget about all this I really don't wanna relapse ...

OCD or God giving me a sign?

Every time I prayed for “clarity” somebody other than my boyfriend would pop up. What does that mean. Even tho I want him 😭😭😭

Thinking of everything as a “sign”

I often tend to connect things to each other and look at everything as a sign. For example, I had a horrible ROCD flare up in the summer and I remember looking at my phone and a song was on about moving on. Then my OCD thoughts kicked in telling me that God was trying to show me that I need to get out of my relationship and move on. Lately, I have been struggling with False memory OCD and am constantly checking if I did something to cheat on my boyfriend with guy friends I used to Snapchat. Like what if I don’t remember I did something or said something to one of them? Anyway, in the midst of all of this, I opened a fortune cookie after eating at a Chinese restaurant. The fortune read something like, “a former acquaintance is going to unexpectedly resurface in your life” and that completely put me into a spiral. My OCD is telling me that’s a sign from God that I did something with another guy and he is going to resurface in my life and ruin my relationship. I feel so guilty even though I know I didn’t do anything. I just can’t help but to look at things like signs. Like why did I see that at this time. Is that God trying to tell me something? Can anyone relate? It would be so relieving if someone could share a story similar.
