Ocd IS disabling. It's a disorder and a disability in which it makes it hard to do everyday things normally and think normally, it's not spiritually related and it doesn't mean God is angry with you because it's a disorder in the brain that makes it function differently. and can be genetic as well. I'm not religious *anymore* but I know that you know that God created his creation to be perfect in their pure form, even the imperfections and the fears you can get out of it. God is here with you he sees you and hears your pain.

You’ve already given yourself to Christ, and put your faith in him. He will never be angry or harsh with you, he will never expect something of you that feels scary or dangerous, and his will, while maybe not obvious, will never make you anxious. That’s how you can separate Christianity from your OCD. Every time you feel this way, know that God (through Christ) does not behave like this, and label the thought just an OCD thought.

Whenever I feel myself becoming anxious or scared, instead of doing a prayer compulsion… I just ask god to help me put my faith over my fear and then I try to carry on with my skills from ER/P

I know how hard and debilitating this can be, and feel. I want you to know it does get better- in your weakness, he is strong. Invite him into your recovery, and if you haven’t started ERP, please do so. The Lord gifts people with compassion and grace and a heart for people with ocd to teach therapy. I believe he uses this to heal our minds. I’m so sorry you’re struggling right now, you’re by no means alone.

Put your certainty in Christ, OCD wants you to be certain about things but no one can be. Christ is the only certain one and because of Him you have complete certainty that you are covered by His blood and He’s got you.
