I have been blocked again by people who I considered to be very helpful in my OCD journey on here... this is why i don't like talking about my real events ocd... its because people will shame me and block me... and think I'm a PDF...
I think you have a self fulfilling prophecy here. You have nearly 2000 posts and you seem to not be making any progress because you keep compulsively posting looking for idk. Is it validation you want? I’ve responded to your posts multiple times offering help and it just seems like you’re stuck. Are you seeing a therapist? If people are blocking you it might be due to the constant posts, not because you’re some PDF. I’ve told you before, I see you. What you’re going through is very tough but know that the majority of it is your brain misfiring. Please seek therapy if you haven’t already
@JeffTheGiraffe They literally asked about my situation and when someone told them what the definition was, they blocked me... so yeah... I'm genuinely kind of done right now... at this point, I'm just done because I will have no one who understands... and will judge me if they find out my real events/false memories... because thats what always happens... I'm just done....
@Givenup I hear you. Don’t give up. I don’t know what “real events ocd” is but I do know from your posts that you create these hallucinations of things that did or didn’t happen. Additionally, you know you’re not that person anymore (if you were) because the thought causes you this much distress and genuinely disgusts you. Look for guidance in God, learn about him, pray to him. It’ll help.
@JeffTheGiraffe If people see me, then people see me as a monster, cause otherwise, why would I be blocked if not for otherwise...?
@JeffTheGiraffe You have a girlfriend that is sticking by your side, right? That’s something worth fighting for 🥲 fight for yourself most importantly
@Givenup i honestly think you were blocked due to perhaps being overbearing and simply people not being able to cope. I struggle with being overbearing too, and it’s not your fault as much as you might think it is. Your brain is complete mush right now and you’re looking for refuge and people may be unequipped to give you that. so what if someone can’t handle your pain? it’s not a knock on you. that’s how i see it— from an outsider’s persoective
@Givenup Well if she did judge you, she simply doesn’t understand the misfirings of your brain. If she cares about you, she will learn about OCD and not see you as your OCD. I don’t know how serious you two are but a partner will give you the time of day.
@JeffTheGiraffe She has OCD too... but I have real events OCD mixed with POCD... so I'm not gonna tell her... because she will run away from me too... just like so many people have... and I've been abandoned... I'm done believing in miracles...
@Givenup Are you in therapy? You need some sort of intervention. I’m not saying that to scare you, interventions can simply be regular therapy or partial hospitalization programs
I think you’re being too hard on yourself and are over analyzing every situation as good or bad. Overthinking is a silent killer, and not in a way that proves whether or not you’re a monster but more like how it consumes your life on a daily basis. You can’t just wake up to a random day that may/may not come that proves your ocd fears. What if that day doesn’t actually come and you’ve wasted so many years thinking about it? Even if some people hate you for not understanding the nature of OCD who cares, you’ll never see them again or ever in real life. Dwelling only does nothing but make you more anxious. And I know it’s easier said than done. But you have to live in the present moment and embrace uncertainty. Even some OCD folks don’t know what real events or POCD even is. I’ve seen people with OCD claim that POCD isn’t valid on instagram as well. And I choose not to ruminate about it because I don’t want to bother with people who don’t wish to educate themselves.

@Givenup I think you should stop posting for a bit even take a break because these repetitive posts sound like compulsions and reassurance seeking, if I’m being honest. Focus on what matters irl such as your current partner, some stranger on NOCD blocking you isn’t as important as your top priority right now.
