Was my last post too much?
I’m now fearing that my last post may have been too much. now I’m back to ruminating.

I didn’t get the chance to see your last post, but whatever it was- ruminating will not help. Take a moment to clear your mind.
Hey! I feel ya. I struggle with social situations and the second I leave one I ruminate on what happened and how I was somehow weird and therefore no one likes me and such. Do you have any tools from your therapist on addressing rumination? I’m early on in my treatment, so I’m still learning tools myself. I’d love to hear what you’re learning!
@Just For Me Unfortunately I don’t have any tools yet! I’m still very early on my situation
@Alonnani I hear ya. One thing my therapist and I went over are some response prevention tips. There was a long list of sentences to remind yourself of when you notice a compulsion (mine are mostly ruminating). One of them, and I think the most simple one, is “maybe, maybe not.” So, it’s possible your last post was too much. It’s possible it wasn’t. Right now, you don’t know. And I’m sure no amount of comments saying it wasn’t too much would deter you from trying to make sense of if it was or wasn’t. So, when you notice yourself ruminating, you could try out saying to yourself, “maybe, maybe not.” See how that feels. You can let me know how it felt for you if you try it, and perhaps chat with your therapist about it as well.
I know OCD can be very hard to deal with, but this post is seeking reassurance, which only makes things worse.
