not that i’ve noticed, but it’s hard to tell because i’ve been on some form of SSRI’s for 5+ years now and they’ve all had weight gain as a side effect. In terms of appetite, nope! Another one is my body feeling realllyyyy restless when trying to fall asleep at night but i’ve been advised by my doctor that taking it earlier in the day will help with that (I also haven’t been strict enough on my sleeping schedule so that doesn’t help)

I'd say I'm feeling some benefits but it's still way too early. What about it are you finding beneficial? How much are you on?

I've been on this for a week and think I've been noticing some results. It might be too soon to tell or the placebo effect, but I find that I'm able to move on from distressing/intrusive thoughts a lot easier compared to last week, which was riddled with terrible thoughts, stress and anxiety. It's not a drastic change but it feels like improvement. I'll definitely keep taking it and see if I continue to notice a difference.

Also makes me really drowsy throughout the day so I might go back to coffee. I take 50 mg at night.

my biggest side effect is waking up cold and sweaty? which is weird but also a common side effect. And ya I guess it’s lessened my physical anxiety and also made it easier to resist compulsions. I’ve just upped it to 250mg after being on 100 for about 4 weeks.

Any weight or appetite changes? The drowsiness will be tough for me as it could impact my job.

So, I’ve had my OCD mostly “under control” for the past 10 years (I’m 44, battled this all my life). I’ve been on a high dosage of Luvox, but unfortunately it’s lost its effectiveness about 6 months ago. For the past five months I’ve also been doing therapy sessions on this site and have had a fairly good outcome. My main obsessions have mainly regarded around balance and symmetry. Anyhow, I’m in the process of switching to Prozac. It’s only been 6 days, so I obviously feel nothing yet. I made the foolish mistake of googling “What can antidepressants cause?” Unfortunately I found a very recent article of a study showing antidepressant users have a higher chance of getting ALS. There’s also older articles that say the opposite. But this one article FREAKED ME OUT. And I can only focus on the worst outcome. So, now I’m stuck in a repetitive thought pattern of getting ALS from the one medication that is supposed to help me. It’s absolutely terrifying and I haven’t experienced a health anxiety fear like this in years. I want to research more and more online, but I know this won’t help. It will only make things worse. Anyone with health anxiety have any advice on how to conquer this? I’m standing strong and not getting off my medication or doing any research.

So my doctor is starting me on 25 mg of Zoloft soon and I'm actually really exicted. I'm finally ready for this to be manageable. I know it's not a cure but I am told that zoloft is primarily recommended for specifically ocd. I'm not sure if I'm ready to start it tonight but yeah. Please do not tell me any negative side effects or anything related to nausea since I'm taking it for emetophobic contamination ocd and I don't need any opinions to make me biased but if any of yoy had SUCCESSFUL zoloft stories please comment!!

So I’ve been off sertraline 50 mg for a couple months now after being on it for 3 years. I got off cuz I was getting bad side effects from it like gaining hella weight and low libido. My anxiety has been so bad so I’m considering trying Prozac since apparently the side effects are less. What’s your experience with it/does it help your anxiety from your intrusive thoughts? I mainly have just somatic ocd
