Harm OCD

Anyone feel like they are sociopaths/psychopaths because they have this subtype of OCD? do you feel that subtypes like harm OCD were created to just cover for being either one of those antisocial disorders? I’m exhausted been dealing with this for 15 years. I look back to when I was younger I was a happy kid. I don’t know how I got here. I was bullied by classmates in middle school. High school I wasn’t popular. I tried to fit in, I tried buying my friends thinking they would like me more. As I got older I realized they were losers and there was nothing wrong with me. I never did drugs or get drunk. I tried marijuana because of peer pressure had bad reaction so I never did it again. It just drives me up a wall why am I like this?

Because you have ocd. I have the same. I always did well and I wouldn’t hurt a fly, that is why when I got my first thought, I was so distraught. Have you tried erp? I’ve had all the pureo subtypes 🥲🤧

I feel you 🥲 at my worst I couldnt even look at myself in the mirror/pictures cause I felt like I couldn’t escape the future of physically hurting someone or myself. I was super scared :( I’ve been dealing with this since I was a kid but never knew I had ocd. I was too scared to tell ppl, thankfully discovered about ocd a couple of months ago when I was at my lowest. I still deal with all the harm intrusive thoughts daily, and some days I just cry so much that my brain and head hurts. @Vhonda14 Yes! I still cry from time to time but thankfully not daily. Now i at the very least am able to look myself in the mirror and pictures. I’m not at my best, and some days are very hard, but at least its a bit better :)

I’ve been on antidepressants anti anxiety meds. But now i’m at a point of not feeling guilty or scared … and thats what scares me. I’m just tired and numb from thinking

Yes one of my compulsions was to look up if I had traits of a psychopath or sociopath. I believe Harm OCD wasn’t created for that reason. Because even if I logically know I won’t hurt someone, I obsess over it. Especially since I am a very sensitive person, everything hurts my feelings lol. Just so you know im 16 struggling with this through high school your not alone. One day you’ll look back and realize that it’s simply a hard part of your life. Much love to you.❤️

I have two beautiful kids, a supportive husband and family. They have seen me go through these episodes. It is worrisome. I just feel the world would be better without someone like me. That’s how awful hocd makes me feel. I keep trying to fight.

Does anyone especially with harm ocd feel like they are their thoughts and want to do these things? Like no matter how hard I try and even during my therapy session I get the constant, “what if this isn’t OCD?”, “you like these thoughts”, “your a bad person”, “your going to act on these thoughts.” It gotten to the point where it feels like I’m actually this person and that I have changed into an evil person and it’s so scary cause it’s gotten to the point where it feels like I’m never going to get my life back and that’s saddening. I’ve never had a violent history never hurt anyone or anything but I don’t know why it feels like I am.

Possibly Harm OCD?

I've been reading through the posts on this app all morning to see if someone can relate to the way I'm feeling. I'm constantly bombarded by thoughts about me or other people being hurt by my cause. It terrifies me to the core and I end up going down in tears at the very thought of it. It's so hard to open up to others about it because I'm worried I'm just insane, and not someone worth saving. It's gotten to the point where I'm very depressed, I refuse to leave my room in the morning to get ready for school, and I don't feel emotion anymore. Another issue I've been having is secluding myself because I'm afraid of harming people. But it's all my mind goes on about, and I can't make it stop. I'm crying whilst posting this, and I just want to feel normal again.

Good afternoon HARM ocd beating me up fr

Does anyone else suffer with harm ocd the way I do, sometimes I feel like I don’t even have ocd and like these are my actual thoughts when I started ocd I would feel so bad for thinking what I was thinking and I would cry everyday but now I just feel numb and like I don’t feel nothing I can’t even cry I’m also on antidepressants so idk if that’s affecting it but it’s like the only thing holding me back from doing my actions is like thinking I could go to jail or ruin my life or regret it later in life & it’s like I tell my self or my mind that whatever it is and it like gets mad that like I can’t do it and it makes me feel worst because it makes me feel like I actually wanna do that and ugh it’s like a constant battle everyday because it like gets mad for not being able to do that because I obviously know it’s something bad and will ruin my life.
