Can Christians with OCD find forgiveness for intrusive harmful thoughts?

I’m not sure if this helps, but when I was struggling with my intrusive thoughts when I was a teenage, my grandma showed me this verse in the Bible and I felt the most immense peace from it. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. She explained to me that God knows our hearts, he knows who we are and can discern what’s in our hearts versus our thoughts. I hope this helps, friend.

Yes I am a Christian and suffering from Harm/Suicidal OCD. I feel awful for the thoughts especially because God has been so good to me. But Prayer and Bible reading really do help. We underestimate the power they hold. And finding your identity in Christ, knowing that he loves us unconditionally- no matter what OCD tries to tell us.

I am a christian and I am struggling through OCD as well. I am most thankful that we have a God and advocate for us in Heaven who is there to encourage us and help us every step of the way. Now to be clear, it doesn't always feel like that, and we have our mess-ups, and things are terrifying, but that is why I hold on to hope and faith. My faith is in my savior, not in myself. yes, i am catholic and i struggle with this with thoughts related to morality and sexual orientation (i don’t believe being LGBTQ+ identifying is immoral or wrong) and i was convinced i was going to Hell for my thoughts

yes I am Christian and I struggle so much. It's really messing with my faith. I have dealt with every single theme (besides one lol don't know why. Ill probs get it later) and it's torture. One of the worst for me though has been hocd. People keep saying stuff that keeps me ruminating. I believe in biblical marriage and while i think others are free to believe whatever they want about marriage, I feel so alone in my struggle. I feel like the only reason I'm.not gay is because of my biblical beliegfs and Christian upbringing. I feel like no one else gets it. With all of my other themes everyone agreed that harm is wrong, p*dopheloa is wrong, incest is wrong but most people don't think that about gay marriage which is their right but I just wish they would stop saying things to me like "you are only straight bc your a Christian" or "stop being so hateful and just be gay". When in actuality I don't hate gay people at all. I love everyone regardless of what they choose to do or believe but I have personal beliefs and people get mad about them. I just don't want to struggle with hocd anymore. I wish I could have an old theme that I had.

You might want to check out Justin Hughes website. He is a Christian and an OCD specialist. He has been on a few podcasts as well. His insight has helped me a lot as a Christian in my struggle with harm ocd. Praying for you.

I have been there. still here. But i will encourage you not to feel like that. he forgives even the worst sins he stil forgives. he love us i believe
