Trichotillomania
Hey everyone, my name is Kenzie and I have had trichotillomania for about 7 years since the start of middle school and I am now a senior in high school taking dual enrollment classes and online classes . If you don’t already know, trich is an anxiety related disorder that causes me to unleash my anxious emotions by pulling out my hair. My main problem is with my eyelashes at the moment. My OCD comes into play when there is a particular lash that is different from the rest that makes me want to pull and if I don’t pull it I will become more stressed and anxious. I am on medication for both anxiety and Trichotillomania but I still pull. And it becomes really bad when I’m doing online school. So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to distract my hands while I am doing school. I have tried stress toys but my hand will always reach back to my face when I don’t even realize. Thank you so much!
