This is a huge step for me!!! I am very fearful of medication and am finally taking the step for myself to try it. I am starting a low dose of Prozac today. This is huge!! If anyone has encouraging words, that would be greatly appreciated. I am not allowed to look up side affects or stories, but just looking for encouragement❤️
That’s a huge step! Especially if you’re afraid! I was terrified of taking medication but it’s truly been a life saver. It’s given me the headspace to tackle my OCD head on. It takes time to work, but if you trust the process and find the right medication it can be such a strong tool in your toolbox. You got this!

Hi! You got this! And yes, researching side effects is a bad idea, because you’ll always find stuff you don’t want to hear. I try to remember that all the big success stories aren’t posting, cause they’re out living their best lives. My only advice, be honest with your doctor about how you’re feeling.

@lizziewhelton55 I totally understand this! I have the same exact fear. I picked them up two days ago but have yet to take them. I’ve held the bottle and touched the pills and imagined taking them the past couple of days. Trying to expose myself as much as possible before physically taking them. We can get through this❤️

Hey y’all! Starting Zoloft today, I need some encouraging & reassuring words. I’ve never taken an SSRI before but it’s gotten to the point where I want to try it. I have intrusive thoughts surrounding taking new medications because of an incident about 6 months ago so im so extremely nervous.
I’ve put off taking medication for a long time; and I just started sertraline. Can anyone give me some positive reports whose tried it before? I’m scared.
After many years of thinking I might have ocd, it’s official. It is nice to feel seen and to have an answer finally but it’s also really scary, mostly because I’m about to start Prozac and I’ve never taken any mental health medications. Anyone have experiences to share? I’m so scared of the side effects but I know I need to start something. My provider suggested finding a support group as I have no family and friends to support me during this time, right now I’m feeling very scared and alone 😔
