Probably not ocd related but I had a miscarriage back in May. The baby was only about 7 weeks. It hurt me so badly physically and mentally. I am still fucked up over it and still cry over it every now and then. I just want to know if I’m overreacting and/or should be over it by now.
I agree with @Givenup. You lost your child, you have every right to grieve and it is absolutely not an overreaction. If anyone ever makes you feel otherwise, please remember that your pain is so real and *so* valid and *you’re* the one experiencing it; not them. I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s okay to cry and be sad. What you went through is traumatic. I hope that you find peace in something and I hope you know we are here for you. 🩷 You are not alone. 🫶

You are not overreacting. What you went through is a traumatic experience that NO ONE should have to go through. What I think you should do, is to let your feelings out. Dont hold in your grief and sorrow... let all the pain and frustration out and let it exit your system. Its okay to cry. Especially about something like this. You dont need anyones permission. Least of all, mine. Cry, wail, do what you need to do. And I'll be here to sit by and comfort you more if you need it. Let your emotions out. Because you deserve to be free of your pain.

I’m having some bleeding with my pregnancy. I am only about 7 or 8 weeks along. I had to go to the ER Thursday for some testing and today it is even worse so I have an appointment in a few hours for more testing at my doctor’s office. My therapist says that my anxiety over these complications is not OCD; that it is valid concern, especially due to the traumatic complications I had with my first pregnancy. So, since it’s not really OCD related, this might not be the best forum to discuss it, but I am just beside myself waiting for the appointment and wanted to air out my frustration.
I need some peace of mind or advice. I don’t know if it is my ocd but I feel immense guilt over everything & anything. I was friends with a girl who was pregnant and I cared about her and thought we were good friends. I haven’t know her long but she asked me to be her baby’s godmother. I ended up after a while telling her I couldn’t cuz I’m not well mentally/emotionally right now & then i tried to reach out she read & ignored my text. Then today she got in an awful car accident & her boyfriend posted the pics in our work group chat. I immediately assumed the worst and thought it was fake. It is isn’t and she lost the baby. I feel like such an awful human being for assuming something so awful. I feel such guilt cuz now the manager was wanting me to go to hospital with them & I feel like I don’t deserve to. I think it more upset me cuz the accident pics were awful and last year I lost my brother in a car accident. Please give me peace of mind I feel awful and don’t know how to get rid of the guilt of how awful I am.
This case has convinced me because of my ocd, I am unworthy of motherhood. I have harm ocd so how bad would my PP ocd be? It’s honestly my biggest fear to ever hurt someone it makes me sick to think about. I have been a wreck all night and just want to cry. My fiancé wants a child. So do I. But how do I tell him I don’t think I can do it now. My advice is not to get on Tik tok if this story triggers you bc it’s flooded with videos. I feel hopeless about this and it’s even triggered my harm ocd in general about anyone and anything right now. Ugh!!! Hugs to anyone else who is struggling. & to moms with OCD, I want you to know that you are warriors and my BIGGEST hope and inspiration. Maybe OCD will take motherhood from me, but maybe it won’t. I don’t know. I’m a mess and I feel like no one understands 🥹
